Description

WGF (Wild Game Food Sorghum) is a grain sorghum that was specifically developed for use as a wildlife food supply. WGF Sorghum is short in stature, making it easily accessible by deer and turkey. WGF Sorrghum has a bitter taste when it is immature allowing it to reach maturity by avoiding heavy grazing pressure. After the seed matures, the bitter taste fades encouraging a variety of wildlife to come and consume the dark red grain that matures at the top of the 2 – 4 foot tall stalk.

WGF Sorghums are readily consumed by deer and turkey as well as ground feeding birds such as dove, quail, and pheasant.
